A leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Edu, Moro and Patigi Federal Constituency, Abdullahi Salihu Danlami has yet again donated sixty (60) solar street panels to Tsonga and some other adjoining communities.
The solar street lights were presented to the Emir of Shonga, HRH Alhaji Dr. Haliru Yahaya Ndanusa who received the materials in ecstasy, was full of commendations for the benefactor whom he described as a worthy son of Shonga.
It will bw recalled that the aspirant while declaring his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat back in January assured the people of his constituency that his tenure in office would pursue inclusive representation through adoption of a pragmatic approach to solving problems in critical sectors of the economy. He has since then executed projects in areas such as provision of teaching and learning materials, medical equipment to provide quality and affordable healthcare, entrepreneurship skills acquisition and empowerment initiatives, training and retraining of small holder farmers and provision of farming inputs to improve productivity.
Hon. Danlami said that his commitment to providing human capital and infrastructural development projects that will benefit the constituents remains unwavering while noting that solar power has become an alternative source of power the world over and his constituency should not be left out considering the clean energy it provides to especially rural communities hitherto in darkness.
Some of the adjoining benefiting communities include Dumagi, Gboro, Tsakpata, Swunasun, Kanko, Patiokun, Manuga and Tsunfeneti.
Thirty five (35) of the sixty solar street lights will be installed in Shonga metropolis, spread across the different parts of the ancient town while the rest will be taken to aforementioned rural communities in line with his commitment not to leave anyone behind.
The Emir of Shonga described the initiative as unprecedented in the history of the Emirate and urged Danlami to keep up the good work of prioritizing the welfare of his people
